36 Weeks =)

She's here!!
No no no, not the baby! GIGI!!!

Gigi arrived on Tuesday to Georgia! How exciting is that! Even though the baby bean has a month to go we feel so much better now that Gigi is here to help. C and Gigi share a room in our apartment and have become two peas in a pod.  Erik and I actually get a bit of a break before the baby arrives. We might even get to eat at one of those fancy restaurants I hear exist!! heehee

I would love to go into a long, girly rant about the colors I have picked for bean's room and how darling her clothes are all hanging in my closet, but we got some pretty sad news the other day. Our wonderful
WONDERFUL midwife we had chosen left her practice this week. She had family matters to tend to out of the country. We  were pretty sad to hear of it since we had found such peace of mind with her as our care provider. So that means 36 weeks... off to find care provider #4 for this pregnancy, yup #4..... blahhh.
At this point I could say I feel horribly annoyed and backed into a corner by all of this but I dont. Which is surprising but the baby is going to come out either way so we just sorta need to stick to the plan and keep going.   There is another midwifery group at the same hospital however coming in at 36/37 weeks wont allow us to bond much or allow them to fully understand our birth history (since generally it takes a week to get your med. files over to a new practice) But who knows! At this point I am grateful I have time to consider my options.
Anywayyy.... the bump is doing well, night time brings BH contractions and not much sleep. C and I are also fighting cold/flu like symptoms so I am sure thats really not helping the sleep issue.  Its such a different experience the second time around. Yes I love washing and folding the baby clothes but I really cherish the moments with just me and little C aka "big brother to be" since in a matter of weeks his new partner in crime will come along and their relationship will start.  =) I love my brother and our relationship and am so glad  C will have a buddy in this world.

I will post a tummy pic soon, get ready for the HUGENESS!!! I am a boat!!!

Oh yes, cute find of the day:

Oh yea here are the nursery colors =)

  1. Oh Val, This is all so exciting!! Glad Gigi is there. Glad you get a fancy dinner or two. Just super excited all around. I love yellow to! Sorry you are at square 1 with the care provider but you will find someone. You are a rock star, you just need someone to take heart tones and catch the baby when she comes out :o)
